Alberto Aquilani cost Liverpool a lot of money and if AC Milan are not willing to pay a decent fee for the 27 year old then one has to wonder why the Merseyside club are entertaining the notion of selling to the San Siro side.
Remember this is the same AC Milan side who had a clause in the original Aquilani loan deal that meant that had he played one more game then Massimiliano Allegri’s side would’ve had to pay a whole lot more but instead the Italian giants opted to try a cheekier route to landing the former Roma man.
Indeed perhaps new boss Brendan Rodgers should consider bringing the Italian back into the Liverpool fold, after all the Merseyside outfit struggled last term and a skillful midfielder who has excellent distribution skills and an eye for goal could well add quality to the Anfield side’s starting eleven.
The likes of Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson struggled to make an impact when playing in the centre of the midfield last term so why not turn down such an offer and bring him back to Liverpool?
