Ambitious Move to Sign £35m Rated Bayern Munich Forward

Liverpool are to join Arsenal and Man United in pursuit of Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller according to German source Kicker.Reports of a possible Allianz Arena exit for the 24 year old attacker appear to have begun appearing soon after Louis van Gaal’s name become inextricably linked with the vacant permanent Old Trafford post, the hook seemingly being that the Dutchman showed great faith in Muller as he emerged and thrived in the Bayern Munich first team set-up whilst he was in charge of the Bavarian side.Outwardly there seems little reason why Muller would seek to leave the Bundesliga side given the level of success they’ve achieved in recent seasons though perhaps the lanky German international hasn’t taken well to life under boss Pep Guardiola?Thomas Muller Bayern Munich
Brendan Rodgers may well see the £35m rated star as the perfect player to act as a third prong in an attack that would also include in-form strike-pair Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez and the Anfield side’s triumphant return to the Champions League should make it easier for the Northern Irish boss to convince top talents to move to Merseyside.
Muller is into his sixth season in the Bayern Munich first team set-up and has racked up an impressive total of 98 goals in 254 appearances for Die Roten.
Rodgers will expect a decent transfer war-chest as he sets about improving his squad ahead of next season and without doubt his Liverpool side does lack strength in depth in certain areas with the club’s defence being incredibly leaky this term.
Whilst a move to bring in a player of Muller’s calibre would be quite some statement of intent the Liverpool manager would do well to invest in a back-line that has conceded a whopping 50 goals in Premier League action.
