Real Madrid are close to winning their 32nd La Liga
title after being 7 points ahead of arch-rivals Barcelona, with 3
matches remaining. The shirts of the club have been manufactured by
Adidas since 1998. The shirt sponsor has been betting company Bwin since
2007. The team was knocked out by Bayern Munich in the semi-final of
the UEFA Champions League, missing their chance of winning their 10th European Cup/Champions League title.
The club is close to agreeing a huge deal with the Spanish giants
worth around 320 million Euros over 8 years. The German brand is set to
break the record sponsorship to help the club financially. The current
deal is giving Real Madrid more than 35 million Euros per year, and the
new deal is set to surpass 40 million. The deal will run until 2020 and
will once again surpass the amount received by Barcelona from technical
sponsor Nike, which is in the region of 30 million Euros.
